Training services

SUBC training department reacts to the growing industry needs of well trained and highly skilled subsea engineers and provides various courses. The range of courses is specifically designed to give delegates the information and knowledge required to develop their subsea engineering career or take that important first step into the industry. We provide theory and practice based training necessary in understanding subsea BOP and control systems. All courses are British Fluid Power Association (BFPA) which is quivalent to European Fluid Power Committee (CETOP) approved and on successful completion delegates will have an accredited course certificate to confirm their achievement of the high standards we set.

Courses

Course participants will gain skills on pressure testing, BOP assembly, and running and retrieving BOP stack drills. Course delegates are guided by experienced instructors who have extensive practical, hands-on experience. This allows us to set up hypothetical situations and practical tasks which delegates are challenged to respond to. In addition to our set courses, if you have specific subsea engineering challenges, we can develop bespoke courses to meet them - all you need to do is ask. Our company is dedicated to providing the best possible subsea training to suit your needs.

We have also partnered with KCA DEUTAG’s DART services to provide BOP testing simulator based courses. This provides hands-on learning through a combination of computer-generated 3D graphics, real-time simulation and sound effects, and utilises software that allows subsea conditions to be effectively integrated and simulated. This means operations can be practiced by personnel in a safe environment using the actual data and can significantly assist in the reduction of rig downtime.
